we are pleased as punch to have this one on dissident. as you no doubt know one half of naum gabo is mr jonnie wilkes aka one half of optimo and unless i got totally the wrong end of the stick when i spoke to jonnie this is the first actual naum gabo release after a bunch of excellent remixes. its a low slung groove for all proper dancefloors with a rubbery bassline, an uber-classic arpeggio, a super-cool synth line and all manner of dubby spacey trippy business going on. i guess this one will fly out even quicker than usual so get them skates on people

the french deep house master, franck roger, continues the string of outstanding releases on his earthrumental series with this double a sided bomb. dont leave me has a deep techy and soulful edge that fans of karizma, ferrer and chandler will undoubtedly fawn over. flashback, on the flip, is another rocking deep instrumental with hypnotic key grooves, trippy effects and that soulful edge that franck does so well. this tune is a must have.

stemming from their brand new remix double album, night blossom, another stunning ep hits the shelves. so glad to see the idjut boys back on nite grooves! havent seen a remix from them since the turn of the century. literally. their minimal synthy, almost downtempo but with a tiny pump, remix of aps moment before dreaming brings trippy to a whole new loungey level. italys the doll combers put a masterful groove into stalk you, and king streets own tomo inuoe puts a bit of the pump into stay as you are a choice ep pleasing a wide range of tastes and styles, further showing ananda project can go from hotel bar straight to the disco with just one simple ep of remixes.

this 12 contains vinyl only remixen! his previous release was on yoshitoshi recordings. evolve features a trippy male vocal loop that works perfectly with the simple bass and drum loops.

the title track made a brief appearance last year, garnering spins from the likes of fergie on radio 1. its now primed for full release, retaining its cool stuttering bleeped out hook atop a strident bassline thats designed to make sure no one can physically stand still, whether they want to or not. its also catchy as fuck. mike healey drops a cleaner remix that techs it out some, the first third or so of the track just twitters, phased sounds and hints at whats to come. its 1.00am central trip material until that bass finally implodes. are we alone? is a deeper closing cut, with suitably zoned out vocal samples and more electro tech shenanigans, making for a near essential ep for those who like it dark and trippy.

a very special compost release with two very rare tracks! the a-side features a great remix of beanfields >tides< with amazing vocals from bajka - of course its not quite up there with the unbelievable carl craig mix but then that would be an uphill struggle. ripperton from the lazy fat people adds his moody, deep slant to the track, less anthemic than carl craig but a more than welcome alternative. this mix was available for a short time as bootleg with ricardo villaloboss remix of depeche modes >sinner in me< on the flip and sold out quickly despite the poor sound quality. finally, one year later, this great tune sees it official release completely remasterd in chrystal clear sound - get it, play it, love it! in 2006 the duo tom wieland and marc frank - better known as 7 samurai - crafted a fine remix of invisible sessions under their panoptikum moniker. when michael reinboth considered this remix for his new future sounds of jazz compilation the guys decided to contribute even a little bit more: an excusive new version which became a definitely highlight of the whole compilation. the panoptikum 2007 remix surprisingly takes a leaf out of innervisions book for a smooth deep houser with a slighty techy sound and a touch of detroit in the vein of Âme or henrik schwarz. in contrast to the vocal version included on fsoj this 12inch features the trippy instrumental version. ace stuff! two must have tracks - all killer, no filler!

sure bomb !! dj support - carl craig, adam beyer, dubfire, monika kruse, shinedoe, christian smith, len faki ... this is the second of 2 fat remix records on drumcode of the 2 most popular tracks taken from the dc10 years album compilation last year. this release sees the truly awe inspiring >do us part< track from par grindvik get 2 classy overhauls from 2 producers of the moment - len faki and 2000 and one. lens remix is a real floor burner cleverly weaving hook parts of the original around a simple driving drum and bassline groove before building cleverly and introducing a harder hook later on to devastating efffect. on the flipside dylan aka 2000 and one adds his typical funky dutch trademark by using the same trippy synth hooks but also adding funky bass patterns and warped synth fx.

the third release on claque music is one of hugo, an italian rising star who has previously released on tongut, floppy funk, enliven music and tuning spork records. >born to bop< settles into a swinging groove thats propelled by a delicious bassline and skipping beats that are as crunchy as salted peanuts! the jay haze remix plunges into disorienting darkness.. two trippy tunes tailor made for the night crawlers

the third release in a row from red music! an epic release from the 4 legged groove machine that is pbr streetgang who have rifled through their old goth collection for a couple of essential deep, trippy, out there disco joints for adventurous and serious jocks!

this time again offering some delightful grooves that will be appreciated both by the dance floor crowd and home listeners. nicely starting off the ep is berlin based greek producer ekkohaus - on his second tune for the label with a very detroit-influenced track, massive elements of groove and funk, exploding half-way through and teasing the listener as the snare/clap comes in on the half beat. this tune will be largely enjoyed by both techno and house fanatics. next one on the list is italian marco shuttle, offering a slightly different approach with his deep, long & repetitive journey of soft synth chords and elegant elements that remind of cadenza releases, providing a perfect tune for the after-hours or stylish warm up. on the flip we find ourselves with a huge tune from queen atom, perfect for the peak time hours in those big packed club rooms: a combination of detroit-esque funk, with trippy back melodies and percussive 909 toms waving through the atmosphere, resulting in a dark yet groovy slow-tempo techno piece. strikingly finishing off the ep is argentinean artist rudolf, already known for his previous releases on sthlm, who delivers an enormous experimental track with intensely layered vocal melodies: eerie, ghostly and combined with many industrial aspects, the result is an immense bubbly, watery track that will indisputably drive clubbers insane throughout the globe.
